Day One Shanghai - Hohhot - Grassland
Take a morning flight from Shanghai to Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia. Inner Mongolia has a peculiar natural scenery, long history and brilliant culture. Drive to the vast grassland and pastures there are many historic sites in this area. Taste the unique local food - finger mutton for lunch. If you are looking for specific kind of outdoor experience, try travelling on horseback (optional activity) from yurt to yurt on the on the endless grassland and under the blue sky and white cloud. At night, you will enjoy the graceful Mongolian singing and dancing.

Day Two Grassland - Hohhot
Enjoy the sunrise of the grassland, Go back Huhhot by coach then visit Mongolian museum and the Five Pagoda Temple

Day Three Kubuqi Sand Bay
After breakfast at hotel, set off to Baotou and visit Meidaizhao, which was built in 1575 and served as both a residential area and a monastery. You are about to experience a natural phenomenon by visiting the Kubuqi Sand Bay in Eerduosi. Sliding down from the 90 meters high and 45 degrees sand hill, one can hear the sounds like automobile and aircraft engines, a phenomenon nobody can explain. Ride a Camel (optional activity). On the way visit the Yellow River Bridge.

Day Four Erdous - Shanghai
After breakfast at hotel, take a visit to Genghis Khan's Mausoleum (Chengjisihan ling), built in 1954, is the biggest attraction in this part of Inner Mongolia. Despite disputes over its authenticity, the Mausoleum attracts thousands of visitors every month, and has been elevated to the status of a holy site. Afterwards, you will take a late afternoon flight from Erdous back to Shanghai. |
