Day One Shanghai - Hohhot - Grassland
Take a morning flight from Shanghai to Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia. Your local English speaking tour guide will greet you at the airport and transport you to the yurts in the comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. Visit Xilitu Lamasery to know more about the local religion. Then we drive to the beautiful grassland and visit local Mongolian Family.

Day Two Grassland - Hohhot
Enjoy the beautiful sunrise on the grassland. Watch horse riding race and wrestling race among Mongolian nomads. Enjoy free activity on the grassland.
Drive back to the city Hohhot in the late afternoon.

Day Three Kubuqi Sand Bay
Today we are going to experience a natural phenomenon by visiting the Kubuqi Sand Bay in Erduos. Sliding down from the 90 meters high and 45 degrees sand hill, one can hear the sounds like automobile and aircraft engines, a phenomenal experience. We will also visit Meidaizhao, built in 1575 and served as both a residential area and a monastery. Then you can try the camel riding on the sands by yourselves.

Day Four Erdous - Shanghai
Today you will visit the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan, whom once established the Mongol nation and conquered most of the known world. Built in 1954, it is the biggest attraction in this part of Inner Mongolia. Despite disputes over its authenticity, the Mausoleum attracts thousands of visitors everyday, and has been elevated to the status of a holy site. Afterwards, you will take a late afternoon flight from Erdous back to Shanghai. |
